We are a 6 member, tight-knit team who bring our own unique experiences and backgrounds to Pro Turf Lawn & Garden. The experiences and backgrounds that we bring to our store every day allow us to uphold our mission, as well as both provide and maintain the best possible experience to our valuable customers. OWNER/ MANAGER:

Bill Karagiannis

Bill is the Owner and Manager here at Pro Turf. Bill was born and raised in Greece and later moved to New York, where he lived before buying Pro Turf and moving to North Carolina. He bought Pro Turf in August of 2022 and has built and upheld our mission ever since. He brings an extensive career in automotive repair, as both a Ford and ASE certified mechanic, to Pro Turf. Since taking ownership of Pro Turf, he has worked extensively in small engine repair. Bill chose Pro Turf because he's fond of the people in Goldsboro and the surrounding communities, loves the area that Pro Turf is in, and loves North Carolina as a whole.

Fun Facts:

Bill is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting and fishing when he is not at work.
Bill has a broad taste in genres of movies and TV shows that he enjoys watching.
Bill's favorite show is Blue Bloods.

CO-OWNER/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

Magda Karagiannis

Magda is our Co-Owner and our Administrative Assistant here at Pro Turf. Magda is originally from Greece, grew up in Queens (in New York City), and spent some time living in Syracuse, New York before moving to North Carolina. She joined our team in February of 2023 and has been upholding our mission ever since. She holds a high school diploma, and she has previously worked at Syracuse University and at local school districts in Syracuse doing custodial and food service work. Magda chose Pro Turf because she wanted to go into business with her husband and Pro Turf was the right opportunity.

Fun Facts:

When Magda is not at work, she loves listening to Greek music, attending Greek music concerts, and entertaining & spending time with her friends and family.
Magda's favorite show is House Hunters.
Magda's favorite TV genres are shows and cooking shows, and she loves comedy movies.

HEAD OF ADVERTISING & MARKETING/ PARTS SPECIALIST:

Elaine Karagiannis

Elaine is one of our Parts Specialists and is also our Head of Advertising & Marketing here at Pro Turf- our social media accounts, our website, and our YouTube channel are all run by her. Elaine is originally from New York State, having previously lived in New York City and in Syracuse before moving to North Carolina in late 2023. She joined our team in April of 2024 and has been upholding our mission ever since. She holds both an associates degree and a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, several professional certificates, and she will soon be pursuing her masters degree in teaching. She comes to us with plenty of customer service experience, as well as experience in the legal field, casework, advocacy work, community service work, and philanthropy work. Elaine's favorite aspects of working at Pro Turf are the creative side (including content creation) of advertising & marketing, being able to interact & connect with customers at the Parts Counter, and overall being able to help her parents run Pro Turf as smoothly as possible.

Fun Facts:

When Elaine is not at work, she loves hiking and being in nature, dabbling in music, reading and enjoying literature, and dabbling in various art projects.
Elaine loves watching procedurals, documentaries, and anything on the history channel on TV, and she loves watching "Based on a True Story" movies.
Elaine's favorite shows are Blue Bloods, Nightwatch, and How It's Made.
Elaine's favorite movie is The Miracle Season.

PARTS SPECIALISTS/ SALES REPRESENTATIVES

Justin (JB) Barger

JB is one of our Parts Specialists and one of our Sales Representatives here at Pro Turf. JB is a North Carolina native, originally from Clayton. He joined our team in January of 2025 and has been upholding our mission ever since. He holds a high school diploma and some college education from Johnston Community College. He comes to us with well-rounded skillsets and experience in the fields of plumbing, warehousing, maintenance work, and customer service. JB's favorite aspect of working at Pro Turf is helping customers solve problems with fixing their small engines.

Fun Facts:

When JB is not at work, he loves spending time with his family, watching movies, going out to eat, and going bowling.
JB's favorite genre is horror.
JB's favorite show is The Walking Dead.

Justin Ryan

Justin is one of our Parts Specialists and one of our Sales Representatives here at Pro Turf. Justin is a North Carolina native, originally from Goldsboro. He joined our team in February of 2024 and has been upholding our mission ever since. He holds several trade certificates and comes to us with a well-rounded work background, ranging from military service, automotive repair, and parts experience. Justin's favorite aspect of working at Pro Turf is working with our valued customers.

When Justin is not at work, he enjoys photography.
Justin enjoys action movies and shows, as well as movies and shows with zombies.
Justin's favorite movie is Resident Evil.

SMALL ENGINES MECHANIC:

Cole Kornegay

Cole is our Small Engines Mechanic here at Pro Turf. Cole is a North Carolina native, originally from Clinton. He joined our team in February of 2025 and has been upholding our mission ever since. He holds a high school diploma, and comes to us with well-rounded work experiences, ranging from farming, maintenance work at a food processing plant, fleet mechanic work at the University of Mount Olive, and several other miscellaneous jobs in between. Cole's favorite aspect of working at Pro Turf is getting paid to do what he enjoys.

When Cole is not at work, he loves fixing things and working with his hands.
Cole loves watching documentaries.
